Until Judy received her first pair of glasses in second grade the world was a blur. When the world came into focus the flame was lit for a lifelong passion of art. Most kids Judy's age considered wearing glasses a burden and embarrassing. Judy found life.

 

Judy approaches painting with discipline, passion and love, painting anywhere from 5 to 6 days a week. The process involves not only applying paint to canvas, but research and study to express the emotional connection Judy feels with each piece.

 

The luminosity and use of warm colors is common in Judy's work as she views the interaction between light and object as a source of inspiration to paint the subject. Mysterious shadows and warm colors draw the viewer in and balance the rich colors of light. To Judy, a painting is like breathing. A force that comes froms within and yearns to express itself on a 2 dimensional surface which she is able to accomplish masterfully.
